Dr. Donovan Crouch has an extended history in the field of Optometry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in May of 1963 from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Crouch has practiced full scope optometry since of July of 1963 in Storm Lake. As the scope of practice has evolved, he has been licensed to treat and mange many eye abnormalities including red eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and removal of foreign bodies.
Dr. Crouch has continued to be active in volunteering his time to many optometric organization including the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association. National Legislative Keyperson, American Optometric Foundation, Iowa State Board of Optometry Examiners, Iowa Optometric Foundation, North Central States Optometric Council, Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry, National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Illinois College of Optometry Board of Trustees. Dr. Crouch has also received many honors for his work in Optometry including the Iowa Optometric Association OD of the Year, in 1991; Illinois College of Optometry Presidential Medal of Honor, in 1999; and the Heart of America Contact Lens Society OD of the Year, in 2000.
Dr. Craig, as we call him, was raised and educated in Storm Lake. He received his undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Math. He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1990 from The Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He returned to practice optometry in Storm Lake in 1991.
His main practice emphasis has been on contact lenses and diseases of the eye including glaucoma, dry eye and macular degeneration. His professional affiliations are with the Iowa Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Craig enjoys spending time with his two sons. He spends the majority of his time outside of work with his family in recreational activities like boating, snowmobiling and trap shooting.
Dr. Sullivan is a board-certified Examiner in Optometry who grew up in Rockwell City and graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Sullivan then attended Illinois College of Optometry and obtained her doctorate degree in Optometry in 2009. After graduation, she went on to complete a residency at the Newington, Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs in primary care with an emphasis in ocular disease. In June of 2013, she returned to Storm Lake to join the doctors at Vision Care Associates.
Dr. Sullivan is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in ocular disease, contact lens fittings, pediatric eye care, urgent eye care & pre and post-operative care. Dr. Sullivan holds affiliations with the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three children; Declan, Finley and Collins as well as biking with her husband Michael.
Dr. Randall was born and raised in Storm Lake and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2006. He received a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona where he ultimately obtained a Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2016. He has been working as an Optometrist in Surprise, Arizona since graduation.
Dr. Randall is affiliated with the Iowa Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Randall enjoys spending time with his wife Rachele, and their children Quinn and Landon.
After 41 years of service, Dr Fred DeHaan retired from Vision Care Associates, P.C. on August 11, 2017. We will certainly miss Dr DeHaan, but we are happy for him and his wife Deb. Dr DeHaan is an avid Hawkeye and Cubs fan and so, if he's not on the golf course, you'll probably find him at the games.
